A riveting second installment. This time there is more action (all kinds) and a wider stage, with the same skilled building of tension and anticipation that I have appreciated in the first book.
I enjoyed that the author took her time with the characters and kept showing rather than telling the story, as much as I did her attempt to go beyond the superficiality about what’s not central to the development of the relationships I usually ascribe to romance novels.
Great character-driven story with tasteful descriptions and an actual plot. I am looking forward to the third and final book.
